Finding an existing EPC
Search the register using a postcode, address or certificate number. Check the expiry date as well as the rating.
Getting a new certificate
If no valid certificate exists, an assessment must take place at the property before a new certificate can be produced.

How long is an EPC valid?
An EPC is normally valid for 10 years. Check the expiry date on the individual register record.
Do I need an EPC to sell or rent a property?
An EPC is generally required when a property is built, sold or rented, although exemptions can apply. Check current GOV.UK guidance for your circumstances.
How do I get my EPC report?
Search for your property, then select Get report — £19.50. If the certificate is expired or missing, select Book new EPC.
When should I book a new EPC?
Consider booking an assessment when no certificate can be found, the existing EPC has expired, or a current certificate is required for a sale or letting.
