What to do when an EPC has expired
An EPC is normally valid for 10 years. Check the register record for the exact expiry date before deciding whether a new assessment is needed.
Check the certificate first
Search by postcode or address and verify the property, rating and expiry date. An older certificate may have been replaced by a newer one.
Book an assessment
If there is no current certificate and the property needs one, book an assessor visit so a new EPC can be prepared.
